Stack Concepts
Note: [*Player Name] indicates captain selection.
*WR Malik Nabers, QB Daniel Jones, TE Theo Johnson: Disappointing production in his return last week but Nabers should continue to be a target monster and bring a captain-worthy ceiling to the table. I don’t love Daniel Jones in this spot but, if Nabers ends up as the optimal captain, then there’s a good chance Jones is an optimal FLEX, so we’ll stick with the correlation there. Nabers is the most expensive player on this showdown slate (and Jones isn’t cheap either) so we’ll save some salary with Giants TE Theo Johnson while also working in more D. Jones correlation. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $7,733.
*WR George Pickens, QB Russell Wilson, K Chris Boswell: The Steelers are sizable home favorites tonight and we’ll be soaking up much of their offensive point and yardage production by rolling with this three-man PIT stack. It may be some recency bias but Pickens is probably my favorite captain choice in this game and he’s going to dominate the air yards once again. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $6,900.
*RB Najee Harris, Steelers D/ST, RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.: Najee Harris has the best odds (+110 ATTD) of finding the endzone tonight and he has stitched together two excellent performances heading into tonight’s game. Love the idea of correlating him with the Steelers D/ST while also utilizing Tracy as a cheap bring-back. There are several indications that Tracy may be taking on the lead RB role for the Giants so we could be getting most of the rushing production in this game by pairing Harris with Tracy. This stack also leaves a ton of salary left over to spend up on multiple studs for your remaining three FLEX plays. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $8,800.
*QB Russell Wilson, WR George Pickens, WR Van Jefferson: Standard CPTN Wilson double-stack. Pickens should probably be locked into any CPTN Wilson lineup, but you can mix and match with the other PIT receiving options. Other Steelers pass catchers to stack in CPTN Wilson lineups (in order of preference): TE Pat Freiermuth, WR Calvin Austin III, TE Darnell Washington, RB Jaylen Warren, RB Najee Harris. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $7,266.
*WR Wan’Dale Robinson, QB Daniel Jones, WR George Pickens: Robinson should continue to see a healthy dose of targets but they’re almost always going to be low aDOT looks. If he can break off for a few big runs after the catch and find the endzone, he’ll still have the potential to be the optimal captain. Stack with Jones for correlation and run it back with Pickens in hopes that this game sees more offensive production than expected. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $6,366.
*Steelers D/ST, RB Najee Harris, QB Russell Wilson: A D/ST at captain is always a risky move but it wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest if the Steelers D/ST scores 20+ FP and lands in as the optimal captain in a potential low-scoring game (or Steelers blowout win). Stacking Harris and Wilson in the FLEX should give you exposure to 100% of the TDs scored by PIT tonight. In any CPTN D/ST lineup, I’m much more willing to end up building a 5-1 onslaught lineup, so with Steelers D/ST at captain, I’d favor going with a 5-1 Steelers-heavy build since, if they are the optimal captain, then the Giants may not have more than one player put up an optimal-lineup-worthy fantasy score. Average remaining salary per player with this stack: $7,700.
