Welcome, LineStar family to a brand new article that will be going out weekly for the main slate. This article is aimed at giving you the players who I believe will be the chalkiest players of the week and potential pivots off them. I will be trying to keep this article short and concise every week.

Without further ado, let's dive into WEEK 1!

Chalk QB 🤦🏻

As of writing this article, I believe the QB ownership should be fairly spread out.

The highest 3 QB's currently look like:

1. Mahomes 15%

2. Murray 10%

3. Allen 10%

Patrick Mahomes, KC | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8.8k | vs. CLE

· Likely around 15% owned on both sites

· If you want to play him do it, but be aware that most of the field that uses Mahomes will have Hill and or Kelce in their lineups as well so you will need to look to get different somewhere in your lineup.

Pivot QB

Ryan Tannehill, TEN | DK: $6.5k, FD: $7.7k | vs. ARI

· Tannehill likely comes in around 5% owned on both sites

· Enormous upside with the addition of Julio Jones

· AZ has an awful secondary

· The games 52 total is the 2nd highest on the slate

Sam Darnold, CAR | DK: $5k, FD: $6.5k | vs. NYJ

· Likely around 1% owned

· 2300 less than Mahomes on FD and 3100 less on DK

· Faces the NYJ, who was awful vs the pass last year

· Has more weapons than he’s ever had before (great options to stack with him)

· No longer has to listen to Adam Gase

RB Chalk

Alvin Kamara, NO | DK: $8.6k, FD: $8.6k | vs. GB

· Around 25% owned

· He’s a stud, and likely deserves to be around 25%

· Has a new QB, will there be as many targets?

Antonio Gibson, WAS | DK: $5.9k, FD: $7k | vs. LAC

· Around 20% owned

· Gibson is facing a tough Chargers D, who is getting back a stud safety. Against the run, they were middle of the road last year BUT gave up very few touchdowns to RB’s.

· His workload is undefined. There is talk of a bigger workload but we have not seen it yet.

Pivot RB

Raheem Mostert, SF | DK: $5.8k, FD: $6.1k | @ DET

· Det is awful and a huge underdog. SF will lean on the run

· DET gave up the most fantasy points to the RB position.

· Around 5% owned

Clyde Edwards-Helaire KC | DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.8k | @ CLE

· Around 5% owned

· Highest totaled game of the week

· With Mahomes being the highest owned QB, rushing TDs from CEH is leverage on the field.

· He was a top 10 back before getting hurt last season.

WR Chalk

Marquez Callaway, NO | DK: $5.2k, FD: $3.4k | vs. GB

· Likely to be around 30% owned on DK and 25%ish on FD

· Near minimum price and a #1 WR, so ownership is there for a reason.

· HOWEVER, Callaway could be shadowed by Jaire Alexander who regularly shuts down top-tier NFL talent. If he is shadowed it could be a long day for Callaway.

Stefon Diggs, BUF | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.9k | vs. PIT

· Around 22% owned

· He is a bit banged up and faces a good PIT D.

Davante Adams, GB | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.6k | vs. NO

· Around 20% owned, likely not being owned enough IMO.

· However he will face MarShon Lattimore who should shadow Adams and loves facing the best WR’s in the game

Pivot WR’s

Julio Jones, TEN | DK: $6.8k, FD: $7k | vs. ARI

· A terrible AZ secondary

· AJ Brown is banged up

· 2nd highest total game

· Around 5% owned

Brandin Cooks, HOU | DK: $5.3k, FD: $6.3k | vs. JAC

· He is the only real option on the HOU offense.

· JAC has a poor D

· 3% owned

Adam Thielen, MIN | DK: $7k, FD: $7.3k | vs. CIN

· MIN lost Irv Smith to a season-ending injury which should make Thielen the preferred red zone target in the MIN offense.

· Faces CIN in what could be a high scoring game

TE Chalk

Kyle Pitts, ATL | DK: $4.4k, FD: $6k | vs. PHI

· Likely around 20% owned

· Great prospect but Rookie TE’s don’t have a great track record in the NFL

Pivot TE:

Tyler Kroft, NYJ | DK: $2.5k, FD: $4.7k | vs. CAR

· Minimum salary (on DK), with the trade of Herndon he's the only guy left and should play almost all the snaps

· Zach Wilson has got great reviews, and rookie QB’s love the TE check downs.

· CAR was 29th vs the TE position last year
