Players & Stacks to Consider

Top Captains and Core Flex Plays:

QB Jalen Hurts: It’s not an ideal match-up (Packers: 7th fewest FPPG to QBs), but thanks to Hurts’ rushing prowess and his capable pass catchers, he’ll remain the strongest floor play in this game. He has scored at least 21 DKFP in 8-of-10 games and the Packers allow 58% more FP to QBs when on the road.

WR AJ Brown: Hurts’ most talented target deserves some captain consideration this evening as well. He has posted a couple of poor performances recently but he continues to own a team-high 28.9% TGT% and a massive 40% Redzone TGT%. While it wasn’t on display much last week, Brown should benefit from TE Dallas Goedert’s extended absence due to a shoulder injury. Brown runs the majority of his routes on the left perimeter and will see plenty of coverage from Jaire Alexander who is having a bit of a down season. The Packers have allowed the 9th most FPPG to WRs on the left perimeter over the last month.

WR Christian Watson: Watson has hauled in eight catches over the last two weeks and FIVE of those have gone for touchdowns. After struggling to stay on the field for much of the season, Watson has clearly developed some strong chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, particularly in the redzone. The Eagles allow the 10th fewest FPPG to WRs but this game should favor a pass-heavy Packers game script so the targets should be there for Watson tonight.

Flex Plays and Leverage Captain Options:

QB Aaron Rodgers: The upside hasn’t been there for Rodgers this season but he has scored between 15.76 DKFP and 20.36 DKFP in nine of his last 10 games. Outside of Romeo Doubs, his receiving corps is mostly healthy and the emergence of the aforementioned Christian Watson gives Rodgers a much-needed big-play receiver.

RB Miles Sanders: Outside of a massive game in week four, Sanders’ fantasy production has been rather pedestrian this season. Jalen Hurts’ involvement as a runner, especially near the endzone, takes a sizable chunk out of Sanders’ fantasy upside. With that said, this is a plus match-up against a Packers run defense that allows 4.9 YPC to RBs. Injuries to the Packers’ linebacker corps increase Sanders’ chances of success at the second level as well.

WR DeVonta Smith: Smith has been a nice complimentary weapon alongside AJ Brown and he has commanded at least eight targets in four of the last six games. He’s not as involved in the redzone (16.7% RZ TGT%) but he could have a larger redzone role while Goedert remains sidelined. Smith has also been an extremely reliable receiver, catching 74.3% of his targets this season. The Packers have allowed 41% more FPPG to WRs when on the road.

Flex Fillers, Fliers, and Sleepers:

Eagles D/ST: The Eagles D/ST is averaging 10.5 FPPG at home this season and they have created a turnover on an NFL-leading 20.4% of opponent drives.

WR Randall Cobb: In his first game back from a stint on the IR last week, Cobb only played 56% of snaps. However, he turned in a solid performance, catching 6-of-6 targets for 73 yards. He operates as a reliable safety net for Rodgers and has reeled in 75% of his targets this season.

WR Quez Watkins: He’s a bit of a pricier lottery ticket play but Watkins has turned in back-to-back double-digit fantasy point performances. Watkins operates as the Eagles’ deep-threat receiver and averages a team-high 11.8 yards per target. He may only get a couple of targets this game but if one goes for a huge play, he could turn in an optimal fantasy score.

K Jake Elliott OR K Mason Crosby: A total in the mid-40s often leads to kickers landing in the final optimal lineup. Neither kicker has been a strong fantasy asset this season but both guys remain decent FLEX options if you need a cheaper FLEX filler.

TE Jack Stoll: He only saw one target last week but he played 81% of snaps due to the Dallas Goedert injury. Consider Stoll a boom-or-bust flier in this game but he won’t need to do much in order to pay off his modest DFS salary.

Sunday Night Football TD Call 🏈

WR AJ Brown

Stack Concepts:

Note: [*Player Name] indicates captain selection.

*QB Jalen Hurts, WR AJ Brown, WR DeVonta Smith: Standard CPTN Hurts double stack.

*WR AJ Brown, QB Jalen Hurts, WR Christian Watson: Brown owns the highest raw fantasy ceiling in this match-up so we’ll want some shares of him at the CPTN position. Stack him with Hurts and run it back with a Packers receiver on the other side.

*WR Christian Watson, QB Aaron Rodgers, WR DeVonta Smith: We can’t count on a multi-touchdown performance for a third consecutive week but Watson remains a high-upside play given his newly expanded role as the Packers’ big play threat.

*QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Allen Lazard, WR Christian Watson: Rodgers feels like much more of a preferred FLEX play but it’s still Aaron Rodgers and he could put up a vintage performance at any time. A CPTN Rodgers double stack remains viable tonight.

*RB Miles Sanders, Eagles D/ST, FADE QB Jalen Hurts: If Sanders has an optimal captain performance, that likely means Hurts’ impact as a runner would have been limited. Stack the Eagles D/ST with Sanders for correlation purposes and fade Hurts to give yourself a contrarian lineup build.

*WR DeVonta Smith, QB Jalen Hurts, RB Aaron Jones: Smith averaged just 1.1 fewer targets than AJ Brown and he’s catching nearly everything thrown in his direction. I like him as a contrarian captain candidate tonight. We’ll stack Hurts with him in the FLEX and run it back with Aaron Jones on the other end.
