Monday Night Two-Game Slate Rundown š
A Monday night double feature is in the cards this evening! The big DFS contests are attached to the joint two-game slate so that will be where our focus goes today. A slew of fantasy studs are taking the field between these two match-ups so, while Iām usually not a fan of two-game slates (for any sport), this one should be a fun one to build lineups for. Letās get into it!
Main slate match-ups with implied point totals and spreads:
Quarterbacks to Consider
Josh Allen, BUF | DK: $7.8k, FD: $9k | vs. TEN
Two of the premiere dual-threat QBs land on this little two-game slate. Youāre paying the premium if you opt to roll out Allen over Jalen Hurts ($7.3k/$8.3k) and heās likely to be the chalkiest QB on the slate, by far. However, this could be a situation where you just eat the QB chalk with Allen and try to differentiate your lineups elsewhere. Against a good Rams defense in week one, Allen completed 83.9% of his passes while averaging 9.6 YPA. And, in typical Allen fashion, he tacked on some solid rushing production with 10 carries for 56 yards which is essentially the DFS scoring equivalent of throwing for an additional 40 yards and an extra passing TD. Tennesseeās defense allowed a lofty 9.0 YPA to Daniel Jones in week one, who also ran for 25 yards on six rushes. And, overall, they allowed 7.4 YPC to the Giants. Another ceiling game could be in line for Allen this evening.
Kirk Cousins, MIN | DK: $6.2k, FD: $7.6k | @ PHI
Cousins is going to be the preferred āspend downā option at QB on this slate as he faces an Eagles defense that allowed themselves to get into a week one shootout against the Lions. Cousins has some great weapons at his disposal, including all-world receiver Justin Jefferson, who many believe is poised to stand out as the best WR in the NFL this year. Cousins turned in a strong week one performance against the Packers where he completed 71.9% of his passes and averaged 8.7 YPA. The Vikings also lead all offenses on this slate in tempo, and this game is much more likely than the BUF vs. TEN match-up to turn into a back-and-forth, high-scoring shootout.
Running Backs to Consider
Dalvin Cook, MIN | DK: $8k, FD: $7.9k | @ PHI
Cook handled 23 touches on 61 Vikings offensive plays in week one. That works out to a massive 37.7% touch%, which ranked third among all NFL RBs last week. The Eagles' run defense was gashed for 6.5 YPC and three rushing scores against the Lions in week one. The Vikings O-Line is not nearly as strong as Detroitās, but volume is king in DFS and Cook should continue to handle a huge amount of touches.
Miles Sanders, PHI | DK: $5.5k, FD: $7k | vs. MIN
The Eagles' elite O-Line helped Sanders to a 7.4 YPC average in week one and theyāll continue to open up running lanes against a Vikings defense that gave up 6.2 YPC to the Packers last week. The Eagles have a committee in the backfield but Sanders should easily out-touch fellow RBs Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott. Unfortunately, both of those guys are a threat to steal some redzone work and both Gainwell and Scott vultured a touchdown apiece last week. Sanders is also going to lose some rushing upside due to QB Jalen Hurtsā dual-threat capability, but he should be expected to handle at least 50% of the offensive snaps and is a solid bet for 15-20 overall touches on a run-heavy team.
Also Consider:
Derrick Henry, TEN | DK: $7.8k, FD: $9k | @ BUF
Devin Singletary, BUF | DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.6k | vs. TEN
Wide Receivers to Consider
Justin Jefferson, MIN | DK: $9k, FD: $9.2k | @ PHI
Nothing is sneaky about rolling with Justin Jefferson on this slate and I would expect the majority of GPP lineups to find a way to jam him in. Heās certainly a scary fade on a two-game slate following his massive week one showing where he commanded a 35.5% TGT% and averaged a monstrous 9.2 YAC. Jefferson aligned all over the field last week, running 39% of his routes on the left boundary, 32% out of the slot, and 29% on the right boundary. The Eagles will have their hands full trying to scheme against this type of superstar WR usage.
AJ Brown, PHI | DK: $7k, FD: $8k | vs. MIN
Brown boasted an absurd 44.8% TGT% in week one and, while that will be unsustainable, he is far and away the alpha receiver on this Eagles offense. Similar to the aforementioned Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown aligned all over the field last week with a āroute ran distributionā of 39% LWR, 26% Slot, 35% RWR. The Vikings secondary was not exactly tested in week one against the Packers and their rag-tag group of rookie wideouts and veteran pass catchers in the twilight of their careers. Expect another strong receiving line out of AJ Brown this evening.
Treylon Burks, TEN | DK: $4.2k, FD: $5.5k | @ BUF
The rookie only saw a 37% snap% in week one but he still drew five targets (16.1% TGT%) and posted a 3-55-0 receiving line. What really catches my eye with Burks is his huge 19.8-yard aDOT from week one. If you watched Burks in college, you know heās just a human highlight reel and the Titans wouldnāt have taken him at No. 18 overall in this yearās NFL draft if they didnāt plan on utilizing him. Heās not going to command a huge snap% in just his second NFL game, but he will likely continue seeing some deep shots down the field. If he just connects on one or two of those big plays, he may pay off his low-end DFS salaries. Burks stands to benefit from a snap count perspective should WR Kyle Phillips (shoulder) sit out this game.

Also Consider:
Stefon Diggs, BUF | DK: $7.5k, FD: $8.1k | vs. TEN
Adam Thielen, MIN | DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.9k | @ PHI
Isaiah McKenzie, BUF | DK: $4.1k, FD: $5.4k | vs. TEN
Tight Ends to Consider
Dallas Goedert, PHI | DK: $4.7k, FD: $5.8k | vs. MIN
Goedert led all TEs on this slate with a 92% snap% in week one and made the most of his four targets (13.8% TGT%) by churning out three catches for 60 yards. In a week where the Packers offense couldnāt get much going, the Vikings still gave up 6-67-0 to the opposing tight ends. There is very little threat to Goedertās snaps and targets as the Eagles' primary tight end so heāll be one of the prime guys to consider at the position on this small two-game slate.
Geoff Swaim, TEN | DK: $2.8k, FD: $4.6k | @ BUF
If youāre hunting for a tight end punt on this mini slate, Swaim might be the guy to go to. The Titans run out quite a few two tight end sets and Swaim edged out Austin Hooper in snaps 45-40 last week. Swaim was also targeted four times (12.9% TGT%) compared to Hooperās two targets (6.5% TGT%). Swaim also saw a redzone target, Hooper did not. Itās tough to gain too much information from a one-game sample size, especially when it comes to tight ends, but Swaim is clearly going to see plenty of snaps in this offense. Snaps = opportunities.
Also Consider:
Dawson Knox, BUF | DK: $4k, FD: $5.5k | vs. TEN
