Sunday Slate Rundown 📝

The NFL playoffs are officially underway and Sunday will bring forth an exciting triple-header -- Steelers at Bills, Packers at Cowboys, and Rams at Lions! This newsletter is being written on Friday evening so I’m not yet aware of how the Saturday games went down, but this Sunday slate certainly looks like the most intriguing set of games across Wild Card weekend. There are so many great storylines to follow, especially in the Rams/Lions nightcap, and it also looks like we’ll get a classic snow game in Buffalo to kick the day off (more on that in the weather section below). Let’s get into it and dive into some top plays and stacks to consider! Best of luck!

Sunday slate match-ups with implied point totals and spreads:

As a reminder, weather plays less of a factor in football than it does in other sports but it is still worth making note of any games that could experience wet conditions, high winds, and/or frigid, snowy conditions.

Two of the three Sunday games will be played in domes but the one outdoor game is sure to be a doozy.

  • PIT @ BUF: Temps won’t be as frigid as the Chiefs/Dolphins game, but we’re still looking at below-freezing conditions in Buffalo, around 20 degrees. More importantly, snow is looking very likely before and during the game, and winds will be 20-30 mph sustained with gusts around 35-40 mph! Offenses should be expected to struggle in this one, evidenced by the 34 over/under. But, DFS aside, who doesn’t love a snowy/windy/chaotic NFL playoff game!? Bills Mafia will be a sight to behold this Sunday. Do keep in mind, I’m writing this on Friday evening so keep an eye out for any significant weather changes.
